Venn Studio

We are visual people, problem solvers, challenge acceptors, and story tellers. We are a group of nimble thirty-something year old designers interested in bringing together the best of architecture, interior design, community, and technology into physical spaces.

Founded in 2017 by Tyler Thomas and Gabbi Sun, Venn Studio works on a variety of project types ranging from custom high-end residential design, commercial tenant improvements and multi-family developments.

Our Founders

Gabbi Sun and Tyler Thomas received their Bachelor of Architecture degrees from the nationally acclaimed Architecture program at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. After working for a number of years in San Luis Obispo and Los Angeles for custom residential architecture firms, Tyler and Gabbi formed Venn Studio to offer a localized approach to architecture and interior design.

Our Philosophy

Great design is not about an architectural style or using the latest design trends, we believe a good space addresses the needs of its occupants first and moves to inspire them.

At Venn Studio we are interested in approaching design with open and empathetic minds. Our goal is to work with each client to create a process of discovery; to find out what our client's needs are. We are curious and inquisitive listeners. We consider things like budget and building codes just as much aesthetic preferences and function to piece together design solutions that are enjoyable and timeless.
